McCollum at Law offers a $100 fee consultation where we will explain the different types of bankruptcy protection available to you and will help you to decide which would work best in your particular situation. "Debt reorganization" is a Chapter 13 bankruptcy which allows you to consolidate your bills, and requires your creditors to allow you more time to pay them back. This procedure is an alternative to Chapter 7 "straight" bankruptcy, which will liquidate many of your unsecured debts and allow for a fresh start.

With a Chapter 13, we can help you with a plan which will take into account your monthly income and expenses and consolidate most of your bills into one affordable monthly payment. An "automatic stay" goes into effect when you file either type of bankruptcy, which will protect you from harassment and collection action by your creditors. If you retain McCollum at Law, we will file all of the necessary documents for you, and we can include your attorney’s fees in the Chapter 13 Plan.

Retainer Information

McCollum At Law offers an initial consultation for $100.00 for anyone who is interested in retaining legal counsel. At McCollum At Law we believe that confidentiality is of primary importance. All client matters are held in strict confidence.

Before a client can retain counsel, a retainer is required. Usual retainer fees vary from $300 to $2500 and are determined by the type of counsel needed. Unused funds are returned to the client after a settlement is reached in their case. McCollum At Law’s clients are billed by the hour - attorneys are available for $250 per hour, and paralegals services are available for $100 per hour.
